Baldys Aggregates Ltd – Shipping & Delivery Policy

Last updated: August 2026

At Baldys Aggregates Ltd, we aim to provide a reliable and efficient delivery service. Please read this Shipping & Delivery Policy before placing your order.

1. Delivery Service

Baldys Aggregates Ltd delivers aggregates and other products directly to the address provided when placing your order.

Delivery availability may depend on your location, delivery requirements and vehicle access. If we are unable to deliver to your address, we will contact you where possible.

2. Delivery Charges

Our delivery charges are calculated based on the distance from our operating location.

Delivery is charged at £2 per mile, unless otherwise stated at the time of ordering.

Any additional charges, where applicable, will be clearly communicated to you.

3. Delivery Times

Our standard delivery slots are:

  • Morning delivery: 8:00am – 12:00pm

  • Afternoon delivery: 12:00pm – 4:00pm

These are delivery windows rather than guaranteed arrival times. While we will always aim to deliver within your selected slot, delays may occur due to traffic, weather, road closures, vehicle issues or delays at previous deliveries.

4. Next-Day Delivery

Next-day delivery may be available for orders placed before 3:00pm, subject to availability and delivery capacity.

Next-day delivery cannot always be guaranteed and will depend on scheduling, product availability and your delivery location.

5. Contact on the Day of Delivery

A member of our delivery team or the driver will attempt to contact you on the day of delivery using the telephone number provided with your order.

Please ensure that:

  • The telephone number provided is correct.

  • You are available to answer calls where possible.

  • You provide any important delivery instructions when placing your order.

If we are unable to contact you and confirmation is required before unloading, the driver may be unable to complete the delivery.

6. Access and Delivery Location

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that there is suitable access for the delivery vehicle and a safe, appropriate area for the goods to be unloaded.

Please consider:

  • The width and condition of access roads and driveways.

  • The weight and size of the delivery vehicle.

  • Low bridges, overhead cables or branches.

  • Parked vehicles or other obstructions.

  • Soft, uneven or unstable ground.

  • The amount of space available for unloading.

Our drivers are authorised to refuse to enter an area or unload goods if they believe it is unsafe or unsuitable.

The driver's decision regarding the safety of the delivery location will be final.

7. Delivery Instructions

We will make reasonable efforts to follow any delivery instructions provided by the customer.

However, the final decision on where goods can be safely unloaded remains with the driver. We cannot guarantee that goods will be placed in a specific location if doing so could create a safety risk or cause potential damage.

If you request that goods are left without you being present, you accept responsibility for the requested delivery location, provided that the driver considers it safe and suitable to complete the delivery.

8. Failed or Refused Deliveries

If we are unable to complete a delivery because:

  • There is no suitable or safe area to unload.

  • Access is unsuitable for the delivery vehicle.

  • We cannot contact you where confirmation is required.

  • The delivery address or instructions provided are incorrect.

  • There are obstructions or other safety concerns.

You will be offered the following options:

Re-delivery

We may arrange for your goods to be delivered on another date. Additional delivery, driver and vehicle charges will apply.

Refund

You may request cancellation of the order and a refund where applicable. The refund may have reasonable costs deducted, including:

  • Original delivery fees.

  • Driver and vehicle costs.

  • Any other reasonable costs incurred during the delivery attempt.

Any deductions will only be made where legally permitted.

9. Proof of Delivery

Once goods have been unloaded, a photograph may be taken as proof of delivery.

The photograph may be sent to the telephone number provided with your order and retained as part of our delivery records.

Please check your goods as soon as possible after delivery and contact us promptly if you believe there is an issue with your order.

10. Responsibility for Goods

Once the goods have been safely unloaded at the agreed or instructed delivery location, responsibility for the goods passes to the customer.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that delivered materials are stored safely and do not obstruct public roads, pavements, access routes or neighbouring properties.

11. Delivery Delays

Although we make every effort to deliver orders within the agreed delivery window, circumstances outside our reasonable control may occasionally cause delays.

These may include:

  • Traffic or road closures.

  • Accidents.

  • Severe weather.

  • Vehicle breakdowns.

  • Delays at previous deliveries.

  • Other unforeseen operational circumstances.

We will aim to keep customers informed of significant delays where reasonably possible.
